Week 19 of 52: May in Durham

Next week is my birthday and we have been blessed with stunning weather in the lead up to it. Durham is cute whatever-the-weather, but a burst of sunlight adds an extra dose of pizzazz...
Just outside the Cathedral the lawn is sprinkled with petal confetti, as if anticipating the Graduation-induced confetti-poppers.
The café just outside the Cathedral is framed with a colourful array of perfect little flowers, mirroring the tulips on the other side of Palace Green, just outside Palace Green Library.
I adored this pink tree on the Green, slightly veiling the Rose Window...
The bridge outside Chad's College is a wonderful place to spot rowers on a summer afternoon, and enjoy the vast green foliage.
A little dot of flowers under a tree behind Old Elvet - hope you're enjoying the sunshine!
