I love art exhibitions of all kinds: photography, painting... but I am particularly interested in drawn illustrations, as this is where my own passion and/or expertise lies within, so I had to recommend this one at the Bowes Museum!
I love Quentin Blake's work: his drawings are the most perfect complimentary pieces for Roald Dahl's sumptuous stories - I have written essays on Dahl and so I was particularly elated when I heard that a Quentin Blake 'The BFG in Pictures' exhibition was being held in Barnard Castle, displaying forty wonderful illustrations. It is a must see!
