Smarties spring flowers cupcakes recipe

These spring flower Smarties cupcakes are my first bakes of 2021! I wanted to bake some cupcakes which were reminiscent to the bakes of my childhood. Naturally, Smarties cupcakes were at the top of the list.

For even more Smarties fun, these cupcakes would be even yummier with some Smarties inside! I tried to fill them with funfetti but, as my sprinkles are naturally coloured, the colours dissolved! Therefore I am saving the funfetti as décor for another baking day ♡

To make ten Smarties spring garden cupcakes you will need...

Ingredients

100g sugar

100g butter

100g sr flour

2 eggs

Icing sugar

Water

Smarties

Recipe

1. Cream the sugar with the butter

2. Add the eggs and flour to the mixture, gradually adding a little bit of each

3. Spoon into 10 cupcake cases

4. Bake in the oven at 190 degrees C for 20 minutes

5. Once cooled, mix a teaspoon of water with six scoops of icing sugar, and coat the cupcakes with the mix

6. Whilst the icing is still wet add your Smarties decorations to the cupcakes
