An ace day at Wimbledon!

Undoubtedly the past few weeks have been some of the busiest and most eventful weeks of my year so far! And as my summer started to get more and more booked up, I had not expected an absolutely huge event to spontaneously open its doors to me: on Saturday afternoon I was delightfully invited to a day at Wimbledon!

On Monday morning, after a weekend of speedily booking two returns to King's Cross, refamiliarizing myself with the Underground and packing my Longchamp, I found myself stepping out onto Platform 2, ready for a tennis adventure.

Arriving in London at 9am meant that we had time to pick up some bits and explore some areas which we hadn't visited in a while, so, before getting the tube to Southfields, we stopped off at Sloane Square for a leg-stretch around the Borough.

Fabulously on our stroll we spotted the pinkest apartment ever, so had to take a few gorgeously pink snaps! Then we hopped back onto the tube and made our way to Wimbledon.

Upon arrival with a massive crowd, we managed to disentangle out of it quick enough to buy some berries and pastries (helloooo chocolate croissants) in prep for a light lunch in the grounds, and then we re-joined the procession full of excitement to collect our tickets and then head straight into the entry for Court No.1 ticket holders!

After ticket-appraisal and bag checks, we were in! Stepping into the grounds and becoming part of the buzzing community was the most amazing feeling - being surrounded by a crowd who all love tennis, and want to celebrate excellent sport (whilst enjoying a deliciously icy Pimm's) was so perfect for a gloriously sunny summer's day in London.

After purchasing a big Evian and a strawberry Pimm's, we walked the steps to Court No. 1 and made our way to our amazing seats (third row!), ready for an incredible day of tennis.

We felt so privileged to be watching some of the biggest names in tennis, as well as the most current rising stars, from the Williams sisters to Novak Djokovic.

Four incredible matches (and many snacks) later, we had had the most fabulous day, enjoying beautiful weather, excellent drinks and fantastic tennis. Cheers!
